Where is the Money- curatorial text

Where is the Money is a project and exhibition - an outcome of the invitation to present works at the Kraków Photomonth in 2021.

The reason that this project arose was not clear information about the budget addressed for it. After a research, and proposal of two different ideas for this exhibition, it came out that there is a much smaller budget than we discussed. The idea for Where is the Money was a third proposal, coming from an angry and disappointed artist at that time. Thanks to Krakow Photomonth directors for accepting it and for letting me start this important discussion about money in the art industry in Poland.

The photography here is a study of the money itself, bills and coins photographed in different styles, at home, in the studio and outside.
Each photo is titled as a different abstract fact or amount that is being spent, was lacking or is needed in the art industry.
Additionally, as a part of the exhibition, there was a jacuzzi filled with fake money- a wink in the form of a spa for artists visiting, after the sweet and sour facts they saw on pictures.

Some money on pictures was borrowed, the rest was fake.
